How The Stars Arrived (And Dined) at The GQ Philippines Launch Dinner

Sharing an evening alongside the country’s leading men is one thing. Doing so in a subterranean concrete cavern is an entirely different affair.

There will always be a lively debate over whether Christopher Nolan’s trilogy reigns supreme as the definitive adaptation of The Dark Knight. But if there is one universal truth the stylish crowd agreed upon last night, it is this: a subterranean garage is inherently, effortlessly cool. For the spectacular debut of GQ Philippines, local tastemakers and global visionaries were treated to a visceral preview of the modern man’s evolving world—a universe where high intellect seamlessly intersects with highly refined machinery.

Down in the concrete belly of the venue, official premium partner DENZA transformed the basement into a high-voltage sanctuary, showcasing its formidable lineup of luxury electric vehicles. Guests mingled among the robust contours of the B5 and B8 SUVs, toured the sprawling interiors of the D9 MPV, and caught an exclusive, living preview of the upcoming Z9 GT sedan. While the logisticians in the room quietly puzzled over how ten full-sized luxury vehicles were maneuvered onto the Marriott Hotel Manila’s basement floor, everyone else took the opportunity to snap sharp, black-tie portraits against the gleaming sheet metal.

A few floors above, the architecture of the evening took shape. Publisher and CEO of AGC Power Holdings Corporation Archie Carrasco, MEGA Global Group Inc. Chief Content Officer Bea Valdes, and GQ Philippines Editor-in-Chief Danyl Geneciran stepped out of their sleek DENZA transports, setting a high bar for the evening’s style. Elite creatives and captains of industry soon followed. Acclaimed designer Iñigo Elizalde and fashion powerhouse Vania Romoff joined entrepreneur-philanthropist Pia Yanson in experiencing the fleet firsthand, trading notes on the future of premium transit as they reached the .

“The DENZA ride was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable, and the chauffeur made the overall experience even more pleasant,” says Yanson. Elizalde, however, summed up his experience simply: “Great car, super smooth ride, and cool driver.”

As guests settled into their seats, the dining space fell into a brief silence that sprang back to life as eight DENZA cars lit up their headlights in unison for a coordinated pre-show presentation.

While the evening’s formalities certainly shifted the anticipation toward the reveal of GQ Philippines’ inaugural covers, DENZA did more than just give guests a closer look into its growing lineup of premium electric vehicles. For what is arguably the night that celebrates modern masculinity’s next chapter, the brand helped bring together those who lead that new identity forward. And for those who graced the event with their presence, there are enough photos of them living their Bruce Wayne fantasies to go around.
