The “Salade de Fruits” collection mixes Thai textile heritage with fearless menswear.

Thai designer Wisharawish Akarasantisook brought “Salade de Fruits” to Fashion Week Asia 2026, a collection named after the French term for fruit salad. Hand-woven and printed silks. Stripes meet checks. Checks meet chevrons. Chevrons meet local Thai textiles so dense they seem to create a new type of gravity. It all worked well together like a dinner table of old friends reuniting: loud, but never fighting.

The striking patterns featured in the collection showcase five traditional techniques from across Thailand. The patterns that should clash by default somehow blend seamlessly. Soft, flowy pajamas meet suits with sharp silhouettes. This isn’t a designer discovering craft for a season. He has spent fifteen years in Thailand’s textile industry, and it shows in every weave.

Rich brocades and intricate jacquards give the a tactile twist. One standout look is a shimmering grey co-ord with a matching cap. The collection reflects Wisharawish’s take on modern society’s idealized work-life balance. The result feels like a glitch, a deliberate contradiction: leisurewear paired with workwear, yet still a composed look.

Mesh and chiffon tanks hang off broad shoulders, paired with marbled, ink-splattered . Silver chains rest on bare skin. The looks balance delicacy with toughness, a duality that resonates with Thai and Southeast Asian culture. Wisharawish’s collection makes that tension work through everything from handwoven textiles to a deliberate use of color.

Fruit salad is, after all, the dessert you order when you want something sweet but refuse to admit it. With “Salade de Fruits,” Wisharawish seems to understand the male appetite precisely: we’ll insist on the plain thing, then reach across the table for yours.
