A closer look at the Asian labels worth seeking inside the retail destination.

“The eye has to travel,” Diana Vreeland famously declared regarding artistic composition. At Qurio Studios, the multi-brand retailer that quietly opened its doors this August, that movement happens entirely by design.

Upon crossing the threshold, visitors are greeted by a thoughtful mélange of colors, textures, and geometric forms—all beautifully disciplined by spare, minimalist interiors. But the sense of displacement here runs deeper than mere visual curation.

“Whenever we travel, we’re naturally drawn to local neighborhoods, independent stores, markets, and galleries,” says Aaron Cabigas, who co-founded the space alongside Shar Cabigas. “Places where you get an authentic sense of how people actually dress, create, and live. A lot of the brands at Qurio were discovered exactly that way.”

The resulting roster spans East, South, and Southeast Asia—a timely selection given the burgeoning pan-Asian solidarity currently reshaping regional style. It makes for an editorial viewpoint that is distinct yet remarkably cohesive. “The labels can come from completely different environments and possess radically different aesthetics,” Aaron muses, “but there needs to be an underlying conversation between them.”

In the spirit of discovery, we rounded up the standout menswear pieces that caught our eye on a recent walkthrough.

From Jaipur, Harago offers modern rooted in India’s rich textile traditions, featuring handwoven fabrics and artisanal embroidery techniques. Be like Travis Kelce and wear one of their shirts while out and about (Taylor Swift not included). Our pick: the Sheep Hand Embroidered Shirt in linen with contrast piping.

BOB’S YOUR UNCLE is a Bangkok-based label whose is built on meticulous tailoring, quiet sophistication, and wardrobe essentials designed to transcend seasons. The pieces also have a sense of mid-century American cool. Its Evan Jacket in red is straight out of Rebel Without A Cause. (Bonus points if you caught the idiom in the brand name!)

HOSU.ATPD’s reconstructed and -remade denim reflects its Tokyo roots, with each piece designed to grow more distinctive with wear. Interestingly, the deconstructed patchwork jackets have been some of the store’s bestsellers so far.

From the Big Mikan, we return to the Big Mango with Archibald’s Shoes, best known for their contemporary take on the bowling shoe. This flat sneaker design is offered in a striking array of colors and materials. The Reimagined Lanes in Soft Silver is the definitive piece to snag.

Jakarta’s Saja creates refined, enduring footwear where understated design meets impeccable craftsmanship and considered details. Its Fisherman Brogues make a serious case for the perfect summer sandal.

Tagpi gives new life to existing textiles through patchwork, weaving fragments of cultural memory into contemporary dress. The Somber shirt’s psychedelic whimsy makes us feel anything but.
